Knee length straightish skirt with black and white checked pattern incorporating houndstooth, has a front placket trim and is pleated into the waistband at the front. It has diagonal side pockets, belt loops and a rear vent.  Unusual closure is inside one of the side pockets towards the front - zip and button. Lined. 70% wool and 30% polyester. Made in Australia for Target. Late 1970s-early1980s.
